Zoos and Aquariums
Panama City Beach travel guide would tell you that the city is not just made up of beaches and sand but has lots more to offer to its growing number of visitors. This beautiful city is also home to some of the best zoos and aquariums that you can imagine.
The Zoo World Zoological & Botanical Park is one such where you can see tigers, monkeys, snow leopards and a variety of reptiles. Over 275 endangered and exotic species of animals are residents here. Alligators, jaguars, giraffes, tigers, lions, birds, and orangutans can all be seen at the zoo. The zoo is fun and at the same time provides a complete learning experience to the visitors.
You can even camp here or go trekking on the multiple trails. The Zoo World understands its responsibility and is an eager and active member of The Species Survival Plan that is dedicated to the cause of protecting endangered animals. The plan was established in 1980 by renowned zoologists.

Look into any Panama City Beach travel guide and it would tell you about all the wonderful creatures that you get to see at the zoo and aquariums here. The biggest aquarium here would be the Gulf World Marine Park. It first opened in 1969 and has been a big tourist attraction since. Although not an aquarium in the traditional sense the place has a lot of creatures from the seas out here.
They have 5 shows on a regular basis and the one with the dolphins are much loved by both kids and adults alike. The laser show at night with the Dolphins is a sure treat to watch. The Tropical garden here is home to macaws, iguanas, flamingos and the waterfalls and fountains add to the beauty of the place. You also have the opportunity to swim with dolphins at the Marine park.
